I saw Laura Stevenson and the Cans in Asbury Park. It was their last show on tour and she was annoyed with people bowling during their set and getting her name wrong.

I wrote a note on a Asbury Lanes card and gave it to her with flower petals and a stem I had taken from the dunes at the beach that day.

I think she appreciated it. I told her she's beautiful and thanked her for coming to Asbury.

Dear Laura,
A Shine To It made me cry. I cried for you, for Hunter and for Baltimore. She would have loved to see you. She's in Miami now.

I think you're made of raspberries, wooden blocks, orange peels, plastic army men and swan feathers.

I wish you had played Beets Untitled. That song means a lot to me.
